We were incredibly fortunate in our lives to never have to experience the difficulties we see in the world every day. We were always blessed with food, shelter, and clothing. Employed as teachers in a dream community where health and education were cherished, we flourished.  Most of all, we were blessed and surrounded with love.

Then in a tragic instant, we lost our only child, and our world was never the same. In an attempt to keep Meri's spirit alive (and honestly, ours too), we started the foundation as a way of giving back and paying forward.

We’re trying to make a small difference in the lives of many by focusing on communities, primarily the ones in which we live, with the students and families who have shared their lives with us.
